Fun Water Facts:

When you turn on the sink in South Lake Tahoe, none of that water comes from the Lake! All of South Lake’s water supply comes from underground aquifers.

The water we drink was here when dinosaurs were drinking from streams and ponds!

The average person in the United States uses 80-100 gallons of water each day. During medieval times a person only used 5 gallons per day.

Lake Tahoe has over 39 trillion gallons of water. If completely drained, Lake Tahoe could cover a flat area the size of California to a depth of 14 inches, but would take over 700 years to refill.
