Administration Department

 

Under the guidance of the General Manager, this department is responsible for the efficient administration of all of the affairs of the District, as provided by all applicable ordinances, resolutions, or regulations of the District. The General Manager makes recommendations regarding policy and implements District policy at the direction of the Board of Directors.

The areas of responsibility under the General Manager's domain include:

  • the operation and management of the District, including the supervision and control of all the District's property
  • administrative activities
  • personnel
  • business and operations

The Administrative staff plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and provides high quality, effective support for the Board of Directors, the Administrative office of the General Manager, and performs a wide variety of administrative and secretarial/clerical duties for various department managers, so that they may function as effectively as possible.

Goals and Objectives of this Department are:

1. Investigate new water sources and implement well drilling programs and design of additional facilities.

2. Develop District-wide Strategic Plan and incorporate into annual budget process.

3. Complete initial implementation of GIS system, and evaluate next phases of development.

4. Manage the lawsuit for El Dorado County regarding the Meyers Landfill.

5. Continue to pursue grant funds and legislation on the District's behalf.

6. Support and assist the Board of Directors, provide accurate accounts of their actions, reliably maintain and provide access to Board and District records, and promote public awareness relating to District business.
